Clarence I know from previous messages which I can't bring to mind
at the moment that you feel tha overwintering outside is not
possible for Ji's. Now how's about a challenge (no guns mind you).
How about you should take one of your JI clumps and divide it & put
half of it outside for the winter and half of it in pots. Or even 2
clumps.  I find that Ji outside with -20 or -30o F do OK. ie they
are still growing and form flowers next year. Anybody else
doubtful? Why don't you divide one of  your clumps and put half
outside and half wherever you ordinarily overwinter your JI's.
