Dear irisophiles,
We have flat clay land in southwest Louisiana. Great for growing rice. Not
so good for bearded iris. What we do or rather what we have is crawfish.
They bury into the clay making nice round little holes all over the place.
Some make little mud castles around their hole and some don't. Anyway,
their holes provides the aeration and drainage we need.
I am taking orders, please specify which kind you want!
