Adam,
If you recently planted them there could be browning of the side
leaves. This is normal. Watch for new growth coming from the center
of the fan which should be soon...perhaps as soon as a week after
planting. Watering every day seems excessive, unless you are in a
drought and having hot weather which will quickly evaporate the ground
water. The ground should be damp but not soggy. Remember iris like
good drainage.
