This was a question I was going to post. In digging my TB's I ended up
with a couple of good sized Rz with no evidence of a bud. They seemed
pretty healthy, so I planted then as I would any other Rz (mostly out of
curiosity). Will these produce fans?

What's the groups experience? I split one Rz by mistake, hope it
