Is this rot?

Hi.

I have received several rhizomes from list members as well as catalog
orders.  But last night, I noticed that a few of the rhizomes had gray
areas on them.  Large gray areas.  They weren't soft, and they didn't
stink, but I was concerned.  My question:  I'm pretty sure it's rot, but
will Clorox kill it? (An overnight soak in my one part Clorox to eight
parts water solution.) Or is it not rot?

But, for as many as I've received, I'm glad it's limited to so few,
whatever it is.
