Hi everyone!
While in Sydney, I unexpectedly discovered a clump of Iris
blooming in a pot in my grandmother's backyard. I'm pretty sure it is the
Algerian Iris (otherwise known as I.unguicularis or I.stylosa) (It looked
identical to a picture of that in a nursery catalogue she had.) It was very
rootbound, so I transplanted it into a larger pot for her, and she gave me
half the clump.
I also bought some seeds of a wild iris native to Australia (I
didn't know we had any native ones), which is called Patersonia (mixed
varieties), so I'm looking forward to planting that.
Does anyone have any information about either of these?
