Hi, Gayla from an ex-Illinoisan! I have several of these and can help
you out too, along w/Bill. Descriptions are from Sourdough Gardens,
where I got them last year (but they haven't bloomed yet!), and from the
check lists:

SABLE, (Paul Cook '38) AM '40; (It was SABLE NIGHT that won the Dykes in
'55); Deep blue-black-violet, blue beard, large flowers, tall, early.

VIOLET HARMONY (Edith Lowery '52) DM '57; Light violet, lighter patch
upper center of falls. Very large, ruffled.

LILAC LANE (Agnes Whiting '47) AM '51; Pink-toned lilac, mauve effect;
beard pale yellow; slightly ruffled. Tall.

CHANTILLY (Dave Hall '45) AM '47; Very heavily ruffled orchid-pink,
cream at center. So heavily ruffled that it looks like edging of lace in
a lighter color.  36"

GRAND CANYON (R. E. Kleinsorge '41) AM '44; Blend of deep tones of
plum, copper and gold; slightly ruffled. 40", well-branched, long season
of bloom.

RASPBERRY RIBBON (Schreiner '51 ) AM '55; Plicata; standards and edge of
falls raspberry red; orange beard. 32"

BLUE SHIMMER (Jacob Sass '42) AM '44; Plicata, all-over pattern of
clear blue stippling, blue peppered on white. Large flowers. E-M 32"

LOTHARIO (Schreiner '42) HM '45; Standards clear light violet blue;
falls violet-purple, edged blue of the standards. Midseason.

LADY MOHR (Carl Salbach '44) AM '46; Oyster white standards; chartreuse
yellow falls; large flowers. 45" (Bill's description)

ACCENT (Walter Buss '53) Clean yellow standards; rose-red falls. One of
the 5 'Iris of the Year' in 1958, but I can't find any awards in the
check lists. 36"

CURTAIN CALL (Schreiner '67)(No awards in check list) Plicata with
standards and falls sparingly marked clear, fairly-like pink-lavender;
lemon yellow beard. EM 34"

Let's have the rest of your list! :-)
