Ross,
This "junk car" was probably a classic car on display or perhaps a family
heirloom vehicle which would be mandated by southern culture to be kept in
the family forever or until the receipt of the first reasonable offer -
whichever comes first.:) These automobiles could also represent the work
of accomplished topiarists practicing their art.:)
Another, probably little known fact: The southern U.S. boasts some of the
largest collections of concrete lawn ornaments and whirligigs to be found
anywhere in the U.S.
