The situation in a nutshell. It's hard to come up with a one-word name
that's still available. The odds are better with two words. Best with
three. =
How important is a name? =
For example, BOAZ and WHITHER THOU GOEST are sibs. Both are impressive
garden subjects and valuable breeders -- but WHITHER THOU GOEST
consistently outsells BOAZ. Is it really a better iris? Does BOAZ
increase so well the pass-around custom can supply the demand? Or is
WHITHER THOU GOEST just a more attention-getting name? More
imponderables....
