Headers are that portion of the e-mail message beginning with the
"SUBJECT" line and running through the "TO" line. They typically give
you all of the e-mail routing information, a list of the e-mail
addresses of all addressees and generally take-up space on your screen.
They interest only those who a really interested in that sort of stuff.
(No offense meant to anyone who IS interested in that stuff.) They
generally tell you more about the message than you really want to know.
They are frequently much longer than the e-mail message. They CAN be
useful and most e-mail programs give you the option of whether you want
to display the header or not . . . and you can change toggle the option
back and forth at will.
