Mark -- Apparently, my reply to your message was swallowed up by a
cybergoblin. I will try to re-create it:

Mark -- There's no time like the present. I have a friend who flew in
Gary Powers' squadron. These men quietly risked their lives for their
country. Some lost their lives. Others suffered in captivity. Your idea
of naming an iris for Francis Gary Powers is an excellent one, and all
the more reason why you should take up hybridizing, if you haven't
already. Name a fine seedling for your cousin and keep it in the family,
so to speak.
