In a message dated 98-08-02 04:29:04 EDT, you write:
<< Hi All, Wanted to post a request from someone on AOL's Iris Board for a
source for: DESERT SUNSET TB-M-S7D (Millik, N.); R., 1947; (San Pasqual X
Beverly Hills) I've already directed him to the HIPS website for suppliers
catalogs, just thought someone here might be able to help also.... >>
For future reference, one of the chief responsibilities of the Commercial
Source Chairman of the Historic Iris Preservation Society is to answer
inquiries from the HIPS membership, and others as time permits, about the
commercial availability of historic irises, defined as hybrid cultivars thirty
or more years old and historically important Iris species. This office
maintains a collection of catalogs and private lists and will refer persons to
any sources which sell the irises they are looking for.
Although this office shuts for referrals on August 1, and although I generally
prefer to deal only with principals, I will take a look and see what
informtion we have. If anyone else knows of a source, I encourage them pass
that information on to the Boardmember as well.
