Yes on both counts. For AIS members, see April 98 Bulletin, page 101 -
special rate of $35 US( including shipping) of which $2 goes to the AIS
Youth Committee. Non-AIS members $39.95 PLUS $3 shipping. Can be found in
many bookstores (including one at the Denver Convention Hudson Garden!) or
ordered from author Barbara P. Lawton,1430 Timberbrook Drive, Kirkwood, MO
63122-6734. Book sections with many gorgeous pictures include - Lore and
Legends of Irises, Irises in American Gardens, The Bearded Irises, The
Bearded Irises, Bulbous Irises, Pests and Diseases, Propagating Irises, The
Botany of Irises. Many noted Irisarians reviewed the material and I found
the book to be clear, concise and interesting.
After years of having very few new Iris books, this year is a feast. You
should add them to your Holiday list to the favorite giftgiver who sends
you ties or coffee mugs every year!
