Dennis,
An iris is OFFICIALLY a seedling until it is introduced. So the
introduced year is the most important date. Per the most current
edition of the judges handbook
"Definition: HIPS (Historic Iris Preservation Society) describes
"Historic" Irises as those introduced (30) or more years ago."
ARIL REVERIE will be considered to be "HISTORIC" in 2020 not 2018.
