Hi. I'm new to the list, but have been growing irises
for many years. I have recently moved to North Carolina -- Zone 8. I
have a lot of catalogs and resourse material. I had an aunt in California
who helped to hybridize a lot of the older irises. Now that she's passed
on, my cousin in Oregon and I try to keep her love for her irises alive.
If I can ever help to answer any questions or provide catalog
information, I will be more than happy to do so. I've already picked up a
few tips from other members.
Right now I'm just getting my new beds established. Some
of the older irises I have planted include Silver Shadow, Lady Serena, Shell
(pink), Carolina Gold, Mill's Valley, and Paisano. I have ordered a number
of newer irises and can't wait for them to come. I can hardly wait for
next spring.
I'm really interested in what everyone has to contribute
regarding this subject. It's nice to know that there's a place out there
where other people enjoy this too. Thanks.
Leslie
