Trimming Roots

From: Glenn Simmons <glsimmon@swbell.net>

We have decided to follow Walter's suggestion concerning trimming the
roots off rhzs and planting them in pots in the shade until the
temperature goes down a little. We have ordered 100 plants from various
California growers this year and so far we have trimmed and potted 82
iris. No negative reflection on California growers but their growing
conditions are vastly different from ours and we wanted to see if we can
reduce our loss this year.

I will keep you all informed as to how this experiment works.

Glenn
