All of you need to start complaining to the FCC in Washington DC,
there are rules that groven the kind of service you are suppost
to get. Over in Hawaii I lived at one place where a truck took
out the overhead line once, the phone company (HawTel/GTE)
patched it with a splicebox on the pole. I was lucky to even get
a voice call out much less a computer call.

I sent a letter to the local FCC office. 2 weeks later the phone
company was out there string a Brand New Line, plus putting a
upgraded jbox on the house and testing the line and making some
fixs between the street line and the mainline along the highway!
