This is one of my favorites with bearded and beardless irises
as well. Also, I grow some lilium (mainly Asiatics) with bearded
irises....smack in the middle of one very large bearded bed. Lilium
like a raised bed, too, and bloom when the bearded are way past
flowering. I also have Daffodils naturalized around the iris beds
to have some color in different times. They can be mowed down
after flowering. :)
