Francesca is correct that it would be much easier to get started on
identification from a picture, however the way to do that is to send the
picture (either email or snail mail) *privately* to one of us who maintain web
sites and can add the picture to the webpage. Tom Little has a Cyber Cork
Board expressly for this purpose, and I am putting together a page on my site
for "unknowns". Others may also step forward to provide sites.
Using a website to publish a picture is very important resource and early in
the existence of Iris-L Mike Lowe was able to identify THORBECKE from a
picture submitted by Gunnar Anderssen from Sweden.
