Perhaps I should mention here that one of the nurseries that has historic
irises also has an extensive collection of older daylilies, including species
and even cultivars dating back to the early 'thirties. They also have an
enormous selection of 'spiders' and 'spider' types. Apparently from what Mike
says they are the exception rather than the rule so, since the question has
arisen, I thought you hemerocallis fanciers should have this information even
if it is mightly late to do much with it this season.
