Since the talk here is about daylillies and we do grow a few thought I
might post
where we buy ours. There is a lady way down in the Ozark mountains
(way, way
down in the hills) who has been growing and selling daylillies for 40 to
50 years
and she has a huge selection. I do not have her address and I don't
believe she
has a catalog but her name is Faye Coble and her phone number is
417-948-2389.
Faye has many very old daylillies and she also has a good selection of
newer
ones. Faye is 86 years old and she is in her daylilliy beds everyday
all day so
the best time to reach her on the phone is in the evenings. Faye has
visitors
coming to her house to see the blooms and buy from her from a several
state area
around here, she is well known in this area. Last time we were there,
June,
there were people there from Pennsylvania.
