Leslie,
Goldsboro, NC, zone 8, and I have two TB irises (unknown) that I have had
for several years. Last week I went out to water and had one that was
turning yellow. When I touched one of the leaves it just fell off, as did
all the others. Now this week, another one! The rhizomes are a little
mushy on the top, but otherwise seem to be in pretty good shape.
Some of the old Iris-L members mentioned the strategy of scooping out
the rot, and dousing the rhizome with a solution of 10 parts water with one
part clorox.
