I also had some rot I've never experienced before. It was on a new rhizome I
just planted 2 weeks ago. I noticed there was no center growth on the fan
like all my other new ones. I went to investigate and the leaves were yellow
and mushy on one side of the base with the mushy stuff into the rz a ways. I
pulled it out and disposed of the rotted leaves and brought it into the house
and scraped all the mush out of the rhizome and washed it and sprinkled it
liberally with Comet. Hope this will work.
I never saw rot like this.
