They ARE difficult to transplant, and you need to take a fair sized
clump, which leaves the clump you took it from, looking like a tornado
hit it. (as my friend found out recently). The clump grows back again
quickly. I must learn to avoid those tempting morsels offered in plastic
bags in chain stores. They almost never grow. Out of 3 bags of
alstomaeria, I think I have one plant which has survived. Has anyone had
any success with mail ordering these plants?
