Actually, the topic has been instructive for me. It is an area I've not
understood.
I've never been comfortable suggesting a bonus since it seems as if I'm
expecting
or requesting one and my orders are not placed with bonus plant(s) as a
requirement. Also, I've often wondered if the growers own contributions in
the
way of a bonus might be a more knowledgeable choice of the likely
successful
performance of a cultivar than my own indicated choices. Only once have I
been
specific with suggestions of a bonus and I was not comfortable doing so.
Also,
I have found that my own personal taste is often along certain lines
(probably
obscure to anyone else) and bonus plants have been an opportunity to escape
from that track so long as I don't make the choice. I do enjoy them when
they
are in hand. If I should receive one I was already growing, I would simply
try and
find ahome for it with someone else. some offers for any extras I might
have
among some other folks.
In the future I may be forthcoming with the wish list. But maybe not if I
feel I may
need more variation. There are colors which work really well growing, but
have no
appeal either in photos or in descriptions for some reason.

Texas Zone 7 and my address above is indicating the iris-talk address
twice! Why?
If this weren't so long I would send it and see if it got sent twice.
