>What is the correct way to pronounce "Chook"? We have several, go by
names like "Beverly Sills (very loud cackle), Wynonna (full bodied hen),
Tina Turner (long brown legs that strut) and of course Lady Grey (very
much a lady in waiting),
My friends and I have been laughing ourselves sick over this thread. I
bet Paul, in Canberra,is having a good cackle too!
Chook sounds like Book. My favourite hen names are Eggatha, Hennyetta,
Kenny (from KFC) and of course 'Cluck Clark' who said her name when
laying eggs. (And there was a Gander called 'Toulouse la Goose')
Best end this thread before someone gets cross!
