I have started a 'Comparisons' page (actually pages) that may help in
quickly sifting through possibilities for unknowns.
There are at present; small flowered yellow iris, small flowered
blue/lavender plicatas and variegatas. None of these are fully populated,
however there are 19 variegatas illustrated and I am just into the M's. (In
some categories the page may become unwieldy from sheer numbers and will
have to be separated into two or more parts.)
The structure is: an index of iris and two side by side viewing frames. The
index contains, in alphabetical order; a very small thumbnail, name of the
cultivar and a 'L' and 'R' hotlink whereby the cultivar can be displayed in
either the right or left viewing frame. Any two listed irises can be
viewed, full size, side by side.
The whole bit is still in development--I have been playing with layout and
navigation tools. As I zero in on a workable format I will shift from
'tuning' to populating with more pictures.
