Yes. My guess is that you are sending very long lines of text 
to the list, and some piece of software along the way said, 
"This line is longer than 80 characters (or even 72) long. 
Some software might have a problem with that. I will will 
break it up into two lines, making the first one as many 
whole words as fit in less than the limit of 80 characters, 
and generally leaving a very short second line." The paragraph below may
demonstrate.

Solutions?  Use a narrower window. Use a bigger font. Use a 
monospaced font instead of proportional (this almost always 
results in fewer characters per line). Manually break the 
lines by typing in carriage returns manually as I did in 
the first copy of the above paragraph and here. 

(Any one should suffice.)
