Re: Reblooming questions

From: "Donald Eaves" <donald@eastland.net>

Hello,

As I understand rebloomers, they require more water and attention in order
to rebloom well. This would seem to indicate they are more resistant to
rot.
Where is my fallacy in this thinking?

Also, I understand that they increase more rapidly and when the increase
reaches the correct maturity, it blooms. I understand that this bloom
cycle
occurs in the fall months on some cultivars, but can occur anytime the
increase
reaches the proper size in other cultivars. This would seem to indicate
that
rebloomers would need dividing more often than the oncers usually need. Is
this in fact the case?

Also, if a rebloomer is not given more optimum growing conditions, say if
they are planted with oncers which do not get additional water and
fertilize,
will it act the same as oncers except in those rare bountiful years nature
provides occasionally.

TIA
