According to the 1997 Cumulative Check List of Siberian Irises,
there is no registered Siberian called 'Nostalgie'.

There is a popular (especially in Europe) 40-chromosome Siberian,
Subseries Chrysographes, that appears blackish...it is marketed
as an I. chrysographes hybrid. There are eight recognized named
species in the subseries C. and one of them is I. chrysographes.

Most of the I. chrysographes sold are purple and gold, hence the
	name, chrysographes.

To "get it", you would have to contact one of the Siberian growers
that might have the blackish-appearing I. chrysographes. Try the
Iris City gardens...they are on on-line and I think, not sure,
that they carry this species. Greg and Macey McCullough are
members of the Siberian e-mail robin and their address is:

		icity@email.msn.com

	Cheers,

	Ellen
