Here in this part of central VA we got one or two breezy, cloudy days from
Bonnie, but no significant rain. In Hampton Roads it was another
story--winds to 90 mph and several inches of rain. Bonnie is now out to
sea and is a hurricane again. Watch out, New England!
Reminds me of 1986 when we suffered through a hurricane here in VA in
September, then flew across the pond to England just in time to enjoy it
there, as well, where it appeared as a terribly cold, blustery mess.
Daytime temps in the 30s and 40s as we hiked around the Peak Distict.
Getting ready for Danielle--
