Rosalie, I can only take credit for reporting the rebloom. This is from the
display garden in Bowling Green which is well maintained by the membership.
There are over 300 varieties there and approximately 10% are replaced each
year.
The replacement irises come from member gardens, but, also, orders each
year. The orders are placed with a different supplier most years and we do
get a
fairly good representation of quality iris. We've asked members not to pass
on
irises that don't grow well for them since the goal of the garden is to
ENCOURAGE people. The weak growers get removed either by Mother Nature or the
ever
present shovel.
FEEDBACK, HARVEST OF MEMORIES, REMARKABLE, and other known rebloomers came
from my garden when I was in Alvaton. The rest come from the annual random
purchases.
