Thanks Pat, but I doubt they would grow under the the extremes experienced
in a cemetery in north central Texas - the only reason it is ever moist
under the shade of the ancient trees is due to flood water about once every
two or three years. The rest of the time I would liken the soil to baked
clay pots.
Our extremes here in Oklahoma isn't suitable without a lot of human help.
Only the old fashioned 'flags' will survive. 50 years ago, I planted
'improved' iris on our cemetery lot and after only about 3 years had to
move them to the house where I could care for them.
