Ah, once again I can't trust what I've heard or read! I did wonder about
this when I saw so many incrosses listed in the R & I's, but determined it was a
matter of numbers! Appears I was given a LOT of incorrect information in the
early years.
Yet, I didn't let it keep me from trying. I've done a number of interrelated
crosses myself. Most with some fairly decent results.
When certain blue/purple crosses either didn't take or failed to sprout, I
blamed it on this interrelated situation. Especially, with the blue lines since
I'd been told they were particularly plagued with sterility from
interbreeding.
