Thanks John and Neil.
Good to know that WILD WINGS can rebloom. Does NIGHT GAME ever rebloom
or throw reblooming seedlings? It is such a healthy plant here & super
reliable bloomer.
I had wondered whether CLARENCE might fit in there somewhere. I think
he's the only luminata I have tried to grow here, & while he isn't
thrilled about it (rarely blooming), he's reasonably healthy &
increasing. Maybe SUKY will do better, & her photos look less pastel.
I have a southeastern adapted start of LONELY HEARTS from Bill B, &
managed not to kill it immediately.
Are all luminatas pastels? Are there any pink ground luminatas? Seems
like I remember seeing a yellow ground luminata from BB, which I guess
could get to pink after repeated crosses with tttt.
This is a "fantasy" iris, so while I would buy it, I don't expect to be
able to produce it, at least not in this garden, and certainly expect it
would take a few generations. Maybe somebody else will try these
suggested recipes?
What I do have are some seeds from various combinations of IMMORTALITY
and HARVEST OF MEMORIES with all kinds of amoenas & neglectas, dark and
pastel. Maybe one will be a step along the way.
