if you put "clarence x" in the search window (without the quotes) And *do not* select "Whole Word Match" the following will trigger a hit:

clarencex and similar would not generate a hit

The search engine ignores the case (unless you choose otherwise)
and will designate a hit where ever it finds the identical string buried in something else or not. Spaces or any other character BEFORE OR AFTER the designated string have no effect (unless you specify otherwise.)
