Posibly the reason there isn't a lot written about spurias is that they are
so easy to grow.
We've sold spurias to places from California to Moscow and all reports are
that they are doing well. Their only main dislikes is very humid/wet and hot
summers, and drying out in spring.
If you don't water them after blooming, they die down and come away in
winter or if you do water them in summer they stay green and do a quick
leaf change in autumn.
Stick them somewhere you want them to stay for 5-10 years as they dislike
being transplanted. Throw a bit of fertilizer at them once a year as they
start their spring grow and thats about all there is to it.
