Gee whiz, you worry about what <shape> the foliage is?? I just worry
about whether or not it's green <g>
Seriously, I've noticed that some crosses are producing funny looking
curved/arched leaf blades but haven't paid too much attention to which
ones. Next warm spell, I'll check (it was 12oF this AM).
The one really bad foliage trait I see is production of a <lot> of
narrow, short, "grassy" looking foliage, lots of increase, few bloom
stalks - from some seedlings from IMMORTALITY and some other
rebloomers. Dwarf genes? These are often unhealthy, and get discarded
or die before they bloom. Most that have bloomed have been small (IB
sized) and unattractive, so haven't been worth keeping.
Everybody has probably read more about my seedling "successes" than they
want to know. <g>
<We don't read enough about success. Anyone else have some success
stories, from the seedling patch, you'd be willing to share?
