Most of the time is spent getting enough rhizomes to introduce. Back when I
started hybridizing, the estimated time from first year selection to
introduction was seven years. That's digging and lining out every year. It is just
an estimate, and there are a number of variables. An iris slow to increase
and quick to bloom will take longer. Market.

With a lot of lines, my red rebloomers for instance, the stages leading up
to an iris that can be introduced are longer. For every step I take forward,
it seems to go back three!

I started the topic hoping to find information that already exists! If it
does. I can tell if there is possible plicata in an iris from the register,
but I can't tell how it breeds unless children have been introduced. Better
someone tell me what they've experienced already, than me run the experiment
again? It's possible that I'm the only one that really cares!! That's okay,
too!

I seem to remember dark lines in the throat of LUNAR WHITEWASH. An
indication of plicata genes. It could have plicata through BONUS MAMMA. (I Do)
