Hello Colleen
You are right,
Look at Ozark Rebounder (= Hello Darkness X Epicenter).
It's is a rebloomer and shows no plicata.
But if you go through all the children of Epicenter on the register, well,
most of them have lots of stripes on the falls.
It's not plicata, but stripes is not for the ones who want even coloured
falls.
You must be sure there's no plicata in the other one you cross it with.
And if you go for rebloomers, be careful, like Betty says, plicata goes with
rebloom character.
Still, to get darker colours, Epicenter is a good asset for us, YES !
Good luck Francelle with Epicenter X Wearing rubies !
Keep us posted, even if they are not all as good as me now all hope!

Francelle
I got a range of lovely dark red and purples from Epicentre x Hello
Darkness. If you cross Epicentre back to something that carries no plicata
then Epicentre will contribute lovely black-cherry colouration and
hopefully it's great growth as well.

A few days ago there was a discussion about eliminating plicata
influence in reblooming pink seedlings. I have been intrigued by the
possibility that a few plicatas produce seedlings that show no plicata
characteristics. Larry Lauer's Pacific Belle is from Acoma X Blue
Ballet. Acoma is a plicata said to rebloom somewhere. Pacific Belle
has very smooth color with no sign of plicata influence and neither do
its seedlings. Crossed with Mariposa Skies, PB has produced some nice
rebloomers.
I have heard that Epicenter sometimes produces smooth self seedlings
when crossed with regular irises. I will find out for myself when my
Epicenter by Wearing Rubies crosses bloom. They should either be
beautiful or horrible.
