That sounds good and should make for happy roots!  What do you  use in the 
bottom of the pots to keep this rich medium from flushing out through  the drain 
holes?  Do you use drain trays, and recycle the drain water back  into the 
pots?  Of course, it would also recycle and compound any  pathogens.  
 
If I'd put something in my pots this year, it would already have been  
flushed out.  Lots of rain.  Maybe the damp seed will result in high  germination 
rates this coming spring?  Or spoiled ones due to damp seed  freezing?
