Not sure what you are asking - the manure is to keep the contents of the pots from washing out the drain holes. Indoor pots are either on plastic shelves with a rim all the way around, or on plastic trays.

No, I don't recycle the water; pots sit in whatever excess runs out, not much. With a horse who insists on leaving donations in the driveway, I have abundant manure & double motivation to gather it, so I don't worry about "wasting" it.

What do you use in the bottom of the pots to keep this rich medium from flushing out through the drain holes? Do you use drain trays, and recycle the drain water back into the pots? Of course, it would also recycle and compound any pathogens. Betty
