My sister tried growing a dozen or so reblooming irises for me a few years back. She's much better about tending to flowerbeds (weeding, watering, etc.) than I am. She did get a few to bloom in the fall, but nothing that really stood out in my mind. So... my question to the rebloom experienced folks, if you had to rank irises for best rebloom performance [without any consideration to flower form or color] what would be a the top of your list? Something with reliable, generous rebloom, maybe even without a whole lot of extra attention given to it. Since my goal would be to use it for hybridizing, I guess some degree of fertility would be a requirement too. I'd be most interested in TB's but I'd still like to know of other classes. >From my very limited experience, my small list would look something like... 1) 'Golden Child' (SDB) - rebloomed several times for me, in spite of deplorable conditions of neglect 2) my two new MTB seedlings 3) I think 'Rosalie Figge' was one I remember doing fairly well at my sister's place What would your list look like?
