I have posted this list before -- no changes to it as I haven't found
any new reliable rebloomers in the past few years.

Thrice Blessed (SDB) probably had the worst garden conditions, never got
watered but had plenty of sunshine. Good fall rebloom every year but
only once in the fall.

Champagne Encore (IB) and Precious Little Pink (IB). Both reliably
rebloom several times beginning in mid-summer. Rebloom would begin in
July and continue until hard frost. Both were reliably hardy through at
least 3 frosts.

Rosalie Figge (TB) reblooms in the fall repeatedly until hard frost.
I've had as many as 3 rebloom periods into November.

Immortality (TB) takes a while to get established before reblooming -- I
think it took 3 years. After that it can stay in one spot for another 3
years before it needs to be divided. During that period, like Rosalie
Figger, it reblooms repeatedly until hard frost, but rebloom generally
starts a week or two later than Rosalie Figge.

Subject: [iris] REB: Best rebloom performers?

My sister tried growing a dozen or so reblooming irises for me a few
years back. She's much better about tending to flowerbeds (weeding,
watering, etc.) than I am. She did get a few to bloom in the fall, but
nothing that really stood out in my mind.
So... my question to the rebloom experienced folks, if you had to rank
irises for best rebloom performance [without any consideration to flower
form or color] what would be a the top of your list?

Something with reliable, generous rebloom, maybe even without a whole
lot of extra attention given to it.

Since my goal would be to use it for hybridizing, I guess some degree of
fertility would be a requirement too. I'd be most interested in TB's but
I'd still like to know of other classes.

>From my very limited experience, my small list would look something
like...

1) 'Golden Child' (SDB) - rebloomed several times for me, in spite of
deplorable conditions of neglect

2) my two new MTB seedlings

3) I think 'Rosalie Figge' was one I remember doing fairly well at my
sister's place

What would your list look like?

Thanks, Tom (zone 6/7 Maryland)
