Yes, that's about it. Both B&N and Amazon are great for those things that
they do well, and less good at some other things. I order occasionally from
both, but only for in-print mainstream books from major publishing houses,
and only when the numbers work in my favor. It's just best to know that the
further you get from this category, the less likely it is that they will be
able to accomodate you, or accomodate you in a timely manner. Their
priorities are elsewhere.
Figure out the strengths and weaknesses in their systems, and use them your
financial advantage. Just be prepared to implement Plan B if necessary.
