To Everyone,
I think before "flames" start, it might be wise to
remember that we all consider ourselves "authorities"
of the plants we raise and we have opinions of the
ones we don't. It is a very diverse world we live in
and until we all begin to celebrate the diversity of
it, there will be "heated disagreements". I
personally rejoice in the plants I love and rejoice
for others in the plants they love and I don't require
their approval to validate my own beliefs.
Nor do I consider a "judge" of anything to be the
"authority". Judges are people just like the rest of
us and (if you have ever watched the Westminster Dog
Show) will have their personal likes and dislikes that
will creep in to what they are judging. We are lovers
of iris and that puts us all on an equal footing. And
it is wise for us all to step back and respect each
others opinions and not suggest that one or the other
of us is "more" or "less". We are all IRIS LOVERS.
