Above is the result of a search in the emailinglist Alpine-L. The
search
was undertaken at
http://listserv.surfnet.nl/scripts/wa.exe?S1=alpine-l
using the two-word term Black Beauty
which accounts for a small number of false drops, i. e.
the citation to Lilium 'Black Beauty' and one or two others.
But the bulk of the findings reveal the origins of this plant, which
was
discovered, as you will see if you visit the topmost site (above),
by Alexej (Sasha) Borkovec, of Silver Spring, Maryland. The
postings
reveal why you aren't likely to see it in nurseries any time soon.
