When a group of us grilled Jimmy Burch last year at the Region 7 potluck
(coming again later this month) about which historic irises he used to
grow in Alabama that were exceptional performers that he regretted not
keeping, this is the one he mentioned as being the best.

I got a start of it last fall and it is indeed, enjoying itself, in
spite of some major ups and downs in weather, in marked contrast to many
others.
