Bee was one of my favorite iris people.  I'm not exactly sure at what point I 
met her, but we lived in RI from 1971 to 1973 and I think my older two girls 
were already involved in iris then.   With encouragement from the adults they 
wrote up the garden one year for the local bulletin, and then I think the 
following year they wrote up the national convention in Philadelphia.  (with 
some assistance from me - they were in the 4th and 6th grades then) 

We started going to the New England (?) meetings - the Warburtons had a big 
picnic in the summer each years which was particularly memorable for the 
fresh corn which her husband grew and cooked.  I remember particularly her 
SDB hybrids.
