hi
its me again, the new one last week with all the blunders! probably fixen' to
make another, but here goes.
i have a greenhouse and every year i'd lose plants started from seed and
cuttings. then i started mixing 1 tbsp antibacterial soap in a qt. water. [i
use dawn] i lightly spray the soil with it and when the plants are 11/2 inch
tall i water with it but not as concentrated. no more rot or damping off and
it took care of knats. but i must admit i've never started iris from seed
like this. the best way i've started iris [JI] is in crushed sandstone or
crushed riverrock. [a 92 year old lady told me that trick] . i also start
water plants that way.
